Hi beauties! Today I want to share with you my simple tricks for perfect summer makeup & hair. No one likes runny makeup & humid hair during the summer. These are convenient when going to the pool or beach, or simply soaking up the sun. Continue reading for a few tips on a flawless summer look!
1. Primer, setting spray & powder
These products are your best friends this summer. Without it, say goodbye to all your makeup in a matter of minutes. A little tip: continue applying translucent powder throughout the day. This will eliminate the shiny, caked up mess created by humidity, sweat & sun, and create a huge difference.
2. BB Cream
A BB cream is simply a light foundation. You can also use tinted moisturizer. However, I am a bigger fan of the BB cream. My personal favorite is the Garnier BB Cream which now comes with an oil-free line. It is a sheer foundation with high SPF, found in drugstores. Perfect for summer!
3. Skincare
Heat will open up your pores, making it very easy for pimples to break out. If you do not continuously wash your face, and take your makeup off every night, you will have a problem. Skin care is way more important during summer, so keep up a routine!
4. SPF+ Moisturizer
Moisturize your face with a high SPF moisturizer. If you care for your skin, don't apply tanning oil on your face. Trust me, it will not help your skin in the long run. Any dermatologist will tell you, apply a high SPF moisturizer for your face and apply frequently if you are in the sun. It is even recommended to apply SPF on the rest of your skin, as well.
5. Waterproof
Try using waterproof makeup for the summer. This will help your makeup from melting off or rubbing away. That way you can also wear makeup to the pool or beach without worries!
6. No heat for hair
Put the flat iron down. It will frizz up & damage your hair regardless. Simply use a mousse or curly/wavy hair products to get rid of frizz, a serum or oil and hairspray. For an even simpler look, try a high bun, braids or ponytail!
7. Keep it simple
Keep your makeup use to a low. A little goes a long way in the summer: BB cream, blush, mascara & gloss should be enough. You don't want to look caked up & shiny. Anything more will run down your face during the day!

Hope these tips helped you prepare for this summers makeup & hair looks, girls! Remember, it's all about keeping it natural. I would love to hear your tips & tricks for this summer's looks. Have a fabulous rest of your summer & happy 4th of July!
xo, Rotem

Let's face it, no one is perfect.. we have all been there & done that.
In this post, i'll show you my tips & tricks to cover up blemishes, breakouts, and dark spots. Let's begin!

Rule #1: Match your foundation

If you want your blemish to be perfectly concealed, use a concealer in the exact shade of your foundation. If you are not using foundation, make sure it simply matches your skin tone.
If the shade is a tad darker or lighter, it will not match and stand out rather than conceal.
I find the L'oreal True Match Concealer - $8.99 works best for me as it hides and conceals blemishes without caking or smudging and fading.
I sometimes find the foundation in the True Match line is enough to conceal my blemishes, without the use of concealer. L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup - $10.95

Rule #2: Precision
I realize that when applying concealer around the blemish, I get worse results. Apply the concealer precisely on top of the exact location of the blemish and tap lightly to blend it inward, rather than around. You can do this using your fingers, or a concealer brush.

Rule #3: Tap, don't rub
Make sure you slightly and carefully tap the concealer onto the blemish. You don't want to conceal the area around the blemish, only the blemish itself. Tapping also results in better concealing, as rubbing will cause it to fade into the skin.

Rule #4: Foundation, then concealer
Apply (liquid) foundation first, then move on to the concealer.
If you were to apply concealer first, the foundation will fade away the concealer which will cause a cakey mess.
You want to apply your foundation first, to create a smooth canvas, and only then conceal the blemishes.

Rule #5: Set with powder
Once you apply your foundation and concealer, let the liquid set for a little while, and then move on to set it with powder. This way it will stay put all day. It is important to set by tapping the powder onto your face, rather than sweeping it across your face, moving the liquid around. Otherwise, this will cause, well, another cakey mess.

I hope these few rules helped you girls to conceal your blemishes and breakouts! Continues washing your face routinely to keep those guys away.

Hi guys! I know this isn't really beauty related, but I've wanted to make a post on this for a while, just to try and help others. I have really bad anxiety, so I stress out a lot over many things. Over time, I've learned what small things make stressful situations a bit easier to deal with, so I will share them with you :)
First off, think about your situation, why you're stressed. Is it something you can change, or is it something you have no control over? "If you can change it, don't worry about it. If you can't change it, why worry about it?"
Of course it is very hard to control your thoughts and turn them into a positive. One of the hardest things to do. So here are a few tips on how to make it easier. (This may not apply to everyone.)

1. Clean/Organize your room/purse/car
I know this sounds a bit strange, but when I do so, I feel like I'm organizing my life. It sounds  weird, but I believe a messy room/purse/car gives off a stressful vibe. Your room should be your happy place! Redecorate, buy new furniture, or just organize your closet. You will feel much better!

2. Work out & exercise
Every time I work out, I feel 100x better physically & mentally. It is a healthy way to relieve stress & anxiety, while getting fit at the same time! Take a yoga, palates, or even boxing class! Make this a daily routine, and your focus will transfer to being productive & following a routine.

3. Watch re-runs of your favorite show/Watch your favorite movie
When I do so, my mind goes back to another place, a better time. It will also distract you for a little while until you stop stressing. Many shows & movies also have a message that can help you deal with your situation. Or you can watch a comedy, and laugh. :D

4. Vent
Talk to your mother/father, sibling, to a friend, to a boyfriend. Write on a blog, a diary, a letter. Just vent! Let out your pain, anger, or depression, whatever you are stressing about. It is never healthy to bottle it up. Sometimes, it is even healthy to cry (but not for too long!!). Ask for advice, or just for someone to listen.

5. Retail Therapy
I swear.. the best stress reliever. Shopping will completely take your mind off stressful situations, while purchasing fabulous new products. Or you can window shop! Does it get any better?

6. Find your passion
My passion is makeup & fashion, so I started a blog. Specifically to reduce my stress & anxiety, as well as providing useful information for other girls out there! Turn your stress into something productive & positive. If you like sports, join a team. If you like photography, post your photos online. If you love fashion, design clothes. If you love music, create it!

7. Surround yourself with positive & mature people
One thing I've learned is that negative people will impact your life negatively. Cut off the people who are toxic for you, even if it means you are left alone. You are your own priority. Be independent, your future is all that matters.

8. Listen to music
Of course! Music is the best therapy. "When words fail, music speaks." Listen to songs that bring you back to a better time. Whatever type of music makes you happy!

9. Realize this is temporary
Nothing lasts forever. The feeling that you're feeling will eventually subside. Happiness will come sooner or later. So stay strong, and deal with the stress as best as you can & you will get through it in the best way possible. You are stronger than you think.

10. Everything happens for a reason
The only reason we stress is because we worry about bad situations. Maybe it is as small as a bad haircut, or maybe as bad as mourning a loved one's death. Believe that everything that happens, happens for a reason. Control your thoughts to believe that bad things happen so that we can learn from them and better ourselves.

I've been through a lot, and I've had many bad things happen to me. And I truly do not regret any of them because it has made me the strong person I am today. If you waste time regretting, you will not better yourself. I'm slowly learning to control my thoughts and become happier. The adversity we go through teaches us to appreciate everything that we have. Life is too short to worry about the minor things. Learn from the bad things and use them to better yourself & your life.

I hope this helped you guys, and if you have anything specific you do to relieve stress, I would love to hear it!! Make sure you follow me on twitter: @rotemxo & instagram: @rotemxox. Have a wonderful & productive day ladies!

Hi guys! I haven't posted anything in a while, so here's some advice on long-lasting & vibrant eye shadow!
It took me a while to understand how to properly apply eye shadow, it takes practice, technique & the right colors.
Before anything, I like to apply my under-eye concealer on my eyelids as well. I feel like this provides a smooth canvas & in my case, gets rid of discoloration. After the concealer sets, I apply eye-shadow primer. A high end one is the Urban Decay Primer Potion - $20.00, and a cheaper alternative includes the ELF Eyelid Primer - $1.00
Next, I recommend using colors that compliment your eye color and skin tone. The basic eye (for me) includes a highlight under the brow (bright color), transition color between the brow-bone and crease (soft brown), eyelid color, inner tear duct (same as highlight), crease color and/or outer corner (dark brown/black), & lower lash line (same as crease/outer corner).
The key is to blend! The most important part is to blend the colors enough to reduce harsh lines but do not lose the vibrancy of the color.
*TIP*: If you want an even more vibrant color, wet your brush before applying the shadow. The color will appear more vibrant and defined (usually the lid color).
For better application, build up the color rather than applying a large amount at once.
Also, after applying the crease color/outer corner, the lid color tends to lose vibrancy, so I suggest applying more of the lid color after the crease/outer corner is applied. Or, you can simply apply the lid color last, since that is the color that should stand out most.
Personally, my eye shadow & eye makeup looks best when my eyebrows are done!
And that's how I get long-lasting & vibrant eye shadow guys!! Hope it helps :)

Happy holidays!!

Hi girlsss, I wanted to emphasize how important skincare is, because makeup application looks 50x better when you apply it on clean moisturized skin!
So, keep in mind that everyone's skin reacts differently to different products, some have it worse than others. But, we should all take care of our skin as best as we can!
I'll share with you my daily skincare routine, like I said before I have combination skin but I use products for oily skin!
First I obviously wash my face in the morning, and then I apply my cleanser (I prefer Neutrogena or Clean & Clear for skincare - again, I use products for oily skin). The mistake most people make is that they apply the cleanser and wait a few seconds, then rinse it off. You're supposed to massage the cleanser into your skin for about a minute or as long as you feel needed, and then rinse it off! The reason you pat dry slightly, is so that you leave some moisture in your skin after cleansing.
After this, I apply my dark spot corrector and a moisturizer, I make sure my moisturizer has a lot of vitamins and SPF to protect my skin from the sun.
The amount of times you exfoliate depends on your skin, my skin is a bit sensitive so I exfoliate about once to twice a week at most. If you have dry skin, you should try exfoliating more often.
I also apply a mask about once a week, and I use a nose strip (for blackheads) about once to twice a week.
At night, I remove all my makeup (SO important) - I used to rarely take off my makeup at night, you'll see a difference once you start taking care of your skin. Then, I apply the same cleanser I use in the morning, and then a nightly moisturizer.
I think that's it for my skincare routine, if there's more I'll update it!!
Take care of your skin every day, guys!
xo, Rotem
Hi beauties! Of course makeup is fabulous and beautiful, but embracing natural beauty is way better! Here are 5 super quick ways to look gorgeous without using makeup.

1. Wash your face
If you want flawless skin, you need to take care of it! I'll post my skincare routine soon. I know some people have tough skin to deal with but just keep doing your best to take care of your skin and finding the right products for you! Cleanse your skin daily, exfoliate and use a mask about once a week or whenever you feel like you need to. Your skin will be super smooth and you will see the biggest difference! Take your makeup off every night!!

2. Lip Balm
If you have chapped lips, use lip balm to smooth them out. You can also get a tinted lip balm for some color!

3. Moisturize
Moisturize your face after every wash. I use a daily moisturizer after I wash my face in the morning, and a night moisturizer after I wash my face at night, and before bed. My skin is perfect in the morning! I suggest using a moisturizer with at least SPF-15 to protect your skin from sun damage during the day and make sure it includes vitamins.

4. Nose Strips (Optional)
Some people react badly to this, so make sure your skin isn't too sensitive. But if you have blackheads on your nose, i definitely suggest these! There are some DIY nose strips online if you don't want to buy them, although they're cheap. Try these if you have blackheads! My nose is so smooth after I use these. You can find them in any drugstore (I got mine at CVS).

5. Shape your eyebrows
Shaping your eyebrows makes the biggest difference! It completely changes your face. If you don't want to shape them, just get them cleaned up and you will see a huge difference!

Hope this helps guys! Embrace natural beauty :) no girl needs makeup to be beautiful
xo, Rotem ♥
Hi dolls :) if you're really into defined lip, bold or not, here are some tips on how to achieve that! I'm really into nude lips lately, because I love dramatic eyes. But red lips are also my thing when I rock the neutral eyes! Regardless, you can use these tips on both looks, so no worries :)

First, make sure you apply lip balm, I normally do this while I apply my foundation & eye makeup, just to give the balm time to set before you put your lip products.. so it doesn't mix together and look all yucky. I use the EOS Clear Lip Balm in Summer Fruit - $2.79, I really want to try the pink strawberry one though, yum! These are so cute, i love the packaging and it works great for me..for this price you really can't go wrong.

Then, apply your fave lip liner, make sure the liner matches your lipstick! If you want your lips to appear bigger, then line a TINY bit outside of your lips, but don't go overboard. You don't want to look like a clown! Lining your lips will prevent bleeding & give you a more defined look.

Now, my fave part, lipstick! Apply your lipstick and make sure it matches your liner, be careful not to apply outside of where you lined your lips! If you have trouble with that, try using a lip brush to apply your lipstick for easier application.

Optional: I apply a highlight on top of my cupid's bow. This makes a big difference for me! You guys should try it!

Last but not least, if you want more of a glow, add your favorite lip gloss on top. If you like your look the way it is, then leave this part out.

TIP: For a more defined look, and prevention of bleeding lipstick, line the outside of your lips with a concealer & a small concealer brush. Make sure it's the color of your skin & make sure you blend!

EXTRA TIP: To prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth (embarrassing!), put your finger in your mouth & suck to clean the inside of your lips from excess lipstick! Sounds & looks awkward, but gets the job done  :)

These are all the lip tips I have for you ladies today! Let me know if these helped you!! :)

Hi dollllls<3 Here's a couple tips to get your makeup lasting all day without creasing or melting off!

First, start with a cleansed face, and then moisturize & prime your face. I use the ELF Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer- $6.00. It may be only $6.00 but I swear on it, it seems like it would be oily, but it really creates a smooth canvas for foundation application, your make up will last!

Then apply your foundation & concealer as you normally would, make sure it's blended of course. And next you need to apply powder to set your makeup. The common mistake people make is to swipe your brush as you apply powder, don't do that!! You're only going to move your foundation and concealer, and smudge everything rather than set it. When you set using a powder, you want to gently pat it in. I promise you'll see a difference! This will make your makeup stay put all day.

After you're done, I suggest using a setting spray. This makes your makeup stay on all day and gives a more natural finish. I use the ELF Studio Makeup Mist & Set- $3.00. High end: Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray- $29.00.

Stay tuned for tips! ;)

Let me know how these tips worked for you!! :) xo, Rotem ♥

So, I thought this would be the best advice to start with considering it's my biggest problem! Concealing dark under eye circles is very simple, all you need to do is correct & conceal with some fabulous products!

My first tip, use a primer. This will prevent creasing of the corrector & concealer you will be applying, as well as creating a canvas for the products. It will smooth out your skin and mask any pores or fine lines you may have.
My next tip, use a corrector. This comes before concealer! If you want to conceal the darkness, you will need to correct the dark color first. Either a yellow color based corrector, or salmon color based corrector will do. Whatever works best for you! I use a yellow color based one.
I do not own the Bobbi Brown Corrector - $23.00, however, I've heard a billion positive reviews & raves on it!
Make sure to blend, blend, blend!!!

Now, it's time to conceal! I personally love using my concealer to highlight and brighten my under eye area, so when I conceal, I apply it in a 'V' shape under my eyes & blend it in and outward. You definitely DO NOT need to do this, you can simply apply a few dots under your eye & blend! Apply as much as you would like.
Don't forget to BLEND well!
High End: Mac Studio Finish Concealer -$18.00
TIP: When applying concealer, let it sit under your eye for a few seconds before you blend it out. This will make the results blend 10x more flawlessly!

Okay, almost done.. Last but not least, you need to set all these product with some powder
I suggest using a puff when you apply powder under your eyes, only because I feel like a brush would knock all the product off, whereas a puff sets it into your face.
However, any drugstore powder should work! Read the tip below for some help.
TIP: I find that when I use white color based powder, it creates a white cast in photos. Try using a slightly tinted powder (yellow, or salmon depending on your skin tone).

After you set the products under your eyes, wait a few seconds, and use a fluffy brush to knock the excess powder off.
TIP: Be gentle while doing this! You don't want to knock off the concealer! Slightly brush off excess powder in a downward motion for a flawless finish.

This is all my advice for perfectly concealed dark under eye circles that will last all day! Hope it helps ;)
